Schrader Cellars was founded in 1998 with a single-minded focus on quality and provenance.
Committed to sourcing only the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, it remains one of Napa Valley’s most highly regarded and coveted allocations. Over more than two decades, Schrader Cellars has garnered a reputation for unmatched excellence and quality, impeccable vineyard sourcing and the remarkably gifted winemaker, ‘Napa’s Top Gun’, Thomas Rivers Brown.
Schrader Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon has a hallmark style that is distinctly modern, though rendered through classic technique. Our wines are opulent, lush and fruit-forward yet they never tip over into excess, maintaining a focus on balance, purity and structure.
Since its inception, Schrader Cellars has achieved a total of 40 perfect 100-point scores from the likes of The Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnuck, and James Suckling.

Steeped in heritage
In 1988, Fred Schrader was a thriving dealer in the world of art and antiques when his good friend and Christie's auctioneer, Brian Cole, invited him to the Napa Valley Wine Auction. A lover of wine and adventure, Fred happily accepted the invitation and soon found himself enjoying delicious wines while spending time with some of the valley’s most notable founders.
In 2000, Thomas Rivers Brown— who had yet to make his first Cabernet Sauvignon — met Fred Schrader while working at a local wine shop and was quickly recruited to the Schrader team. United by a shared dream of producing "no holds barred" wines of the highest caliber, Fred's instinct to hire the passionate youth was spot on.
